"A highly productive, active life should be a natural outgrowth of an inner faith. Physical fitness is something you'll desire to achieve, and regular exercise is an activity you'll want to pursue - because a healthy, fit body is the most appropriate home for a vibrant spirit."
Kenneth H. Cooper

“People who live in tune with God’s ways and see them as good become healthy, youthful, attractive, and alive. Those who view their body as a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit of God, treat it with care, are best able to adapt to God’s way.”

Faith-Based Wellness

TEMPLE Wellness Studio strives to coach others how to apply Biblical principles to achieve improved health and wholeness through an integrated spirit, mind & body approach. We hope this will provide fertile ground to allow our clients to examine their own faith.

Wellness is generally used to mean a healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit that results in an overall feeling of well-being.  The term has been defined as an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a more successful existence. This is consistent with a shift in focus away from illness in viewing human health.  In other words, wellness is a view of health that emphasizes the state of the entire being and its ongoing development.  Wellness can also be described as "the constant, conscious pursuit of living life to its fullest potential."

Kenneth Cooper of Cooper Clinic in Dallas explained that faith-based fitness requires Divine Intervention – all the way.  Cooper explained, “My faith – my belief, is where my power comes from. When I speak, time and time again someone will come up to me afterward and say,  ‘I appreciate your Christian testimony.’  Unless you are both spiritually and physically fit you really aren’t ‘fit’.” Cooper also emphasized that our faith - our belief is one of the most powerful tools we have – if we know how to use it. If we believe we can improve our level of fitness then we are going to do it.   If we believe we can improve our spiritual life then we are going to do it.

Sometimes we rely on others to take care of us, but until we change that attitude – until we take personal responsibility for our health we will never achieve true success and happiness.

Many Christians are faithful in following God’s will in their family, church and work life, but many fail to follow God’s will concerning their responsibility to care for themselves; His temple.

Are we being good and faithful stewards of the most valuable resource that God has entrusted to us?  The most valuable resource that God has ever created to achieve His purpose – the human being – heart, soul and mind.

“Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper
and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.”
3 John 2
